One of Suffolk Libraries young trustees and her partner are going to have the adrenaline rush of a lifetime when they take on a fundraising challenge with a difference to raise money for the charity in July.

Belle Bradley who is on the Suffolk Libraries board of trustees and her partner Jacob Bathgate, said will each be doing a Tandem Skydive and jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet. They will plunge down to earth at speeds of over 120mph in an experience that will be literally breathtaking.

Belle said:

“Apparently, we'll be falling around 120 miles per hour when we jump out of the plane, which I can predict will feel terrifying! Everything will rush past us quickly and I'm sure we'll lose our sense of direction. The thing is life can often feel like jumping out of a plane. The cost-of-living, loneliness and a lack of support can leave you feeling anxious and a bit lost. Suffolk Libraries makes you feel safe and helps people, regardless of their issues. Their support gives others the confidence to do anything - even jump out of a plane! Every penny we raise being off the ground will help others get back on their feet, so we wanted to do something crazy and get people donating to this amazing cause. We can't wait to take the leap towards happier and healthier communities.”

Her partner, Jacob added,

“Suffolk Libraries has been such an important part of my life for the last few years; they're a charity that makes a real, tangible difference to so many lives in Suffolk, in ways that are absolutely necessary. Whenever the opportunity arises to support the libraries, I'm sure to jump to the task! So, when I heard that some daring paratroopers were needed to take Suffolk Libraries to the skies, I didn't hesitate! I'm really looking forward to becoming a Suffolk Libraries Aeronaut!”
