Online Book Festival

Suffolk Libraries has relaunched its now annual online book festival for 2025.

The festival is a vibrant celebration of literature which invites people to dive into captivating online author talks, explore diverse genres, and discover new favourite reads from the comfort of their home.

The festival will take place on 21, 22 and 23 February 2025 and involve live online talks with bestselling authors Stuart Turton, Becky Holmes and Elly Griffiths.

Suffolk Libraries first launched online author talks during the pandemic. Even though many author talks take place across libraries during the year, online talks are still popular with people who might find it difficult to get to a library and open the talks up to a bigger audience.

Suffolk Libraries is a charity and the online book festival is also an opportunity for the organisation to raise vital funds to support the library service whilst offering a great programme of author events that can be enjoyed from anywhere in the world!

Lisa Brennan, Suffolk Libraries Content and Reader Development Librarian, who is organising the festival, said:

“I love that our annual online festival can reach Suffolk Libraries customers who for various reasons aren’t able to come to our in-person author events. It’s so important to us to make sure those customers can enjoy as much of the amazing library services that we offer, including our author events which they can watch from the comfort of their homes.

“In previous years of our online festival, we have also been delighted that people from all over the world have joined the author events and had a great experience and opportunity to ask their favourite authors questions and discover new authors to explore. Every ticket sold makes a difference to us as a charity and we are so grateful for the amazing support of brilliant authors that make this online festival possible each year.”
