Suffolk Libraries recently launched a new weekly pop-up library session in Beck Row in west Suffolk!
The new Suffolk Libraries Local session launched Tuesday 18 June and will run every Tuesday afternoon at the Beck Row Parish Hub in Holmsey Green Road. Beck Row Suffolk Libraries Local is being funded by Section 106 planner development money which is being made available via Suffolk County Council
Beck Row is the fourth Suffolk Libraries Local session in Suffolk with the model already successfully running in Shotley, Red Lodge and Rushmere.
The new pop-up session will run from 1PM to 3PM every week offering books, access to a computer and the internet and a Tot Rock activity for under-fives from 1.30PM to 2PM.
There will be a selection of books available to choose from every week and local people can also reserve any item from the entire Suffolk Libraries catalogue for free and pick it up at the session.
The Parish Hub has a large car park, toilet facilities and disabled access. The hub will also be kindly providing free refreshments during the library sessions.
Janine Woolston, Suffolk Libraries Outreach Manager said:
“We’re delighted to be launching this new weekly session for the local community. Suffolk Libraries Local pop-up library sessions have been a success elsewhere in the county and enable us to bring a slice of library life to local communities where there is not an existing library branch. We’d love to welcome the local community at the first session so they can see what’s on offer. The Parish Council have been very supportive while we have been planning this, for which we are very grateful.”
A new Facebook page for the Beck Row pop-up has also been created.
