Lights! Camera! Action! Filmmaking Workshop with Kirsty Tallent

Ipswich County Library
Jan 2, 2025 9:45 AM

Join storyteller Kirsty Tallent for this free creative workshop for 10-16 year olds and create, shoot, edit and screen your very own movie trailer! This workshop is part of The Blank Page Project.

Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include a free lunch, drinks and snacks!

Come along to this fun and accessible workshop exploring the key elements of storytelling through filmmaking. In this hands on workshop you will play with lighting, sound, animation, acting, editing and much more!

The wellbeing of our young people is really important to us and time outdoors is a key part of that. With this in mind, where possible a short walk or time outdoors will be incorporated into the workshop days. This will be supervised by the staff running the workshops and will also be weather dependent. Please ensure your child has a coat and sensible footwear!

How to book

Workshops are completely free to attend but must be booked in advance. You can book online via eequ.

If your booking is made within 72 hours of the workshop, we may not be able to accommodate specific dietary requirements. Please get in touch with the library location for the workshop to discuss options. Please note that whilst we welcome all young people, our staff are not specifically SEND trained.

This workshop is for 10-16 year olds only. If you feel your child requires additional support in the form of adult attendance in order to access this workshop, contact us by emailing katie.puls@suffolklibraries.co.uk.
