Photography Animation with Gillian Allard

Stowmarket Library
Apr 16, 2025 9:45 AM

Join photographer Gillian Allard for this creative workshop for 10-16 year olds at Stowmarket Library. Create a unique time-lapse film by playing with photography and sound effects. This workshop is part of The Blank Page Project.

Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include lunch, drinks and snacks!

The workshop will start with participants taking original photos that represent their unique perspective, using books from the library, and any imagery they like. We will then manipulate the images and work them into a series, layering them together.

In the second part of the workshop, we will explore creating animation through our photo series, ripping up the images to reveal each layer, making a time-lapse film. Lastly, we will be adding sound effects to enhance the visual experience of our artwork.
