Join artist and designer Holly Scholfield for this creative workshop for 10-16 year olds at Beccles Library. Design and print your own colourful t-shirts! This workshop is part of The Blank Page Project.
Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include lunch, drinks and snacks!
In this workshop we will be exploring the traditional Indian craft of block printing using the technique of lino cutting. We will each draw and create our own repeat designs ready to transfer to the fabric. This workshop will allow you to learn new skills and experiment with patternmaking and printing on both fabric and paper.
Please feel free to bring in any old t-shirts and fabrics of your own from home that you might like to upcycle. Come and have a fun and busy day of printing!
Workshops must be booked in advance. You can book online via eequ.
If your booking is made within 72 hours of the workshop, we may not be able to accommodate specific dietary requirements. Please get in touch with the library location for the workshop to discuss options. Please note that whilst we welcome all young people, our staff are not specifically SEND trained.

Holly Scholfield is a freelance artist, designer and teacher. Her expertise lies printmaking, drawing and textiles, with a particular interest in pattern and chaos. A love of drawing in museums and the natural world inspires new work. Through historical research, she makes intensely coloured work that is quietly feminist, rooted in both the past and the present.
Holly trained at Central St Martins in Fine Art and then completed an MA at NUA specialising in print and textiles. She regularly exhibits her work, has shown in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and illustrates for publications.
