Suffolk Libraries is generously funded by Arts Council England. We were officially granted National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) status in April 2018. We see libraries as a vital stepping-stone for the public to access great arts and culture in their communities.
Since April 2018, we have worked with over 5,000 young people between the ages of 11-25 in Suffolk across a variety of creative projects.
Using creativity as a catalyst for social change, the programme aims to:
- Promote libraries as places where everyone can access great art and culture.
- Support innovation and emerging talent, artistic development, championing artist-led practice.
- Engage new audiences and broaden libraries' accessibility.
- Provide library staff with opportunities to develop and support engagement with their communities.
