What is 50 Things to Do Before You’re Five?
Looking to keep your little ones entertained and help them learn new things? 50 Things To Do Before You’re Five is a new app full of inspiration and ideas for parents and carers with ideas for free and low-cost activities around Suffolk!
Through the location-based app, families can find fun activities in Suffolk with simple guides, top tips, book suggestions and local links that are accessible and fun! The app has plenty of indoor and outdoor activities to take part in, including:
- Making music, mess and magical potions
- Picnics in the park and exploring local woodlands
- Sightseeing local landmarks and learning about history
Benefits for baby and you
50 Things provides plenty of health benefits - both physical and mental - for the entire family. There are also opportunities for improving language development and learning as families take part in activities together, enhancing family bonding and creating positive environments for children to grow and thrive.
This project will give young children a head start in their literacy and learning journey and will also help them engage with and understand the world around them.
Create treasured memories
50 Things can help strengthen the bond between you and your little ones by enjoying a variety of new experiences together. You can build a memory bank of those special moments shared with your child to revisit and reflect on later in life by recording your activities and saving photos and videos on the app.
Downloading the app
The app contains all the information, guidance and supporting resources to allow parents to build a memory bank of photos and videos, as a collection of their child's special moments. Additionally, for children with special educational needs there is guidance to ensure they receive maximum benefits from the activity.
You can download the app onto your smartphone or tablet on the App Store and Google Play.
