Open Space

Informal drop-ins for anybody interested in their mental health and wellbeing, as well as families and carers

Open Space provides an environment for discussion and activity with the aim of helping people better understand and enhance their personal wellbeing. There’s no need to register or be referred. You can attend as often or as little as you like, and you can come and go during sessions.

Discussion can be around any topic which people attending think may be helpful in enabling them to reflect on their wellbeing and making possible changes. There are also a series of fun and engaging activities for participants to enjoy.

If you’re looking to meet new people and find out about local events and resources to support your wellbeing, find your nearest Open Space drop-in. Everyone is welcome. Drop-ins take place at the following libraries:

  • Bury St Edmunds Library - every Monday at 2PM
  • Stowmarket Library - every Tuesday at 11AM
  • Ipswich County Library - every Wednesday at 1PM
  • Woodbridge Library - every Wednesday at 1.30PM
  • Newmarket Library - every Wednesday at 2PM
  • Felixstowe Library - every Thursday at 2PM
  • Sudbury Library - every Thursday at 2.15PM
  • Haverhill Library - every Friday at 1PM

Open Space is run in partnership with Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Julian Support, Richmond Fellowship and Suffolk Mind.
