Join creative director of Rock Paper Scissors Lulu Horsfield for this free creative workshop for 10-16 year olds at Stowmarket Library, as part of The Blank Page Project! Learn how to create 2D stop frame animations featuring your unique ideas, artwork and storytelling skills.

Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include a free lunch, drinks and snacks!

Participants will have the opportunity to tell their own stories through moving image, by exploring 2D methods of animation using iPad technology. We will be creating our own art work in different ways and learn how to work with stop frame animation techniques to make our own short films.

About Lulu Horsfield

Lulu Horsfield is the Creative Director at Rock Paper Scissors, a local community arts organisation. She has been teaching art and design to all ages for 20+ years and has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator across fashion, textiles, editorial, music and film. Lulu works with paper, print and pattern, using her own hand painted surfaces to collage with and explore shape, colour and texture. Sometimes these become textile designs, illustrations, moving images, typography or exist only in her sketchbook. She is passionate about working with young people, providing a creative and inclusive space for all to shine.

About The Blank Page Project

The Blank Page Project is an exciting new programme providing free high-quality creative activities for young people, run by local artists in libraries during the school holidays. Funded by the Department for Education’s Holiday Activity Fund.

This workshop is only for 10-16 year olds. If you feel your child requires additional support in the form of adult attendance in order to access this workshop, contact us by emailing katie.puls@suffolklibraries.co.uk.
