Be Kind to a Kid Toy Appeal

Donations of new toys welcome at your local library

Support our Christmas toy appeal by donating new toys to your local library and we’ll get them to children who need them

Help make Christmas extra special for Suffolk families

This Christmas, Suffolk Libraries is teaming up with BBC Radio Suffolk for a special toy appeal as part of our Warm Welcome cost-of-living support campaign.

All 45 of our libraries are accepting toy donations to pass on to children who’d appreciate an extra present this Christmas. We are working with local charities and organisations to ensure these toys reach the families who really need them.

Last year, we collected nearly 2,500 toys for local children. Please help make our toy appeal even bigger this year and spread festive joy to more Suffolk children and families.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated a toy for our appeal—we're thrilled to announce that more than 3,800 brand new toys will be gifted to children and families this Christmas! Our libraries are no longer accepting donations. If you have a new toy you would like to gift to a child, we recommend donating it to a local charity instead.

For any questions about our Be Kind to a Kid toy appeal, please email Toys.appeal@suffolklibraries.co.uk.

You can support the wider Warm Welcome campaign and the work of Suffolk Libraries by making an online donation to help us continue to run our vital services which help communities across the county.
